Congraulations to Matt Flynn who has been recognized as the Offensive Player of the Week by The Centennial Conference! This makes two consecutive weeks that a Bullet has been honored with this award!

Congratulations also to this week's Conference Honor Roll member - James Holubowich for his performance on Defense.

LANCASTER, Pa. - Freshman quarterback Matt Flynn (Northfield, N.J./Mainland Regional) has been named Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week in an announcement made by the conference on Sunday. Flynn came off the bench late in the first quarter and tied a Gettysburg single-game record for touchdown passes with five. In the most extensive action of his young career, Flynn completed of 18 of 31 passes for 288 yards and carried the ball four times for 17 more yards in a 54-42 loss at Rochester.

Junior linebacker James Holubowich (Mineola, N.Y./Mineola) was also named to the CC weekly honor roll after recording 10 tackles. One of the tackles resulted in a four-yard loss. Holubowich tied teammate Harold Barton (Somerdale, N.J./Sterling) for the tackles lead among all players in the game.

The conference's outstanding offensive performer in each of the last two weeks has come from Gettysburg. Junior tailback Tom Sturges (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) earned the honor last week for the fifth time in his career after rushing 26 times for 174 yards and a touchdown that put Gettysburg ahead for good in a 28-20 win over Hampden-Sydney. On Saturday at Rochester, Sturges again had a big day, carrying the ball 27 times for 159 yards and a touchdown. He also returned four kickoffs for 72 yards, giving him a career-high 231 all-purpose yards. He leads the conference in both rushing and all-purpose yards.

Flynn completed touchdown passes of 59, 15, 30, eight and 14 yards to four different receivers on Saturday. He connected with senior halfback Dusty Green (Idaville, Pa./Bermudian Springs) five times for 95 yards and two scores, including a 59-yarder that was Gettysburg's longest pass play since 2003. Flynn also completed seven passes to junior wide receiver Matthew Welsh (Lafayette Hill, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep) for 116 yards.On the season, Flynn has played in all three games, going 24-of-47 (51.1 percent) for 328 yards and five touchdowns and a 140.54 quarterback efficiency rating. He has also run the ball seven times for 10 yards and another touchdown.

The Bullets will wrap up their non-conference slate at home this Saturday against Denison. Kickoff at Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium is set for 1 p.m.
